James Green, BA

James Green, B.A., is the Senior Clinical Research Assistant at the Response To Risk Program.

James Green, BA, is responsible for the coordination of many research projects at Response to Risk. His primary role is the study coordinator on the UPLIFT research study. He is also involved in many other projects in the program.

Academic: James received his bachelor’s degree in holistic psychology from Lesley University in 2020. He has a background in research concerning career counseling for people living with serious mental illness and has worked as a statistical consultant for counseling psychology research labs.

Interests and Experience: Prior to joining the Response to Risk program, James has held clinical internships at the Gavin Foundation, working with young adults living with substance use disorder, as well as Doc Wayne, a DBT Sports-based intervention for young adults who have lived through traumatic experiences. He also works at the Mental Health Identity and Adaptability research lab as a research associate part-time at Lesley University, researching career counseling interventions for people living with serious mental illness. He has interests regarding the role that career construction plays in recovery from serious mental health conditions. James is continuing to work on projects exploring the etiology of positive symptoms of psychosis, exploring the impact of social and role functioning interventions on treatment outcomes for youth at risk for psychosis, and exploring the utility of integrating mental health interventions and technology. His interests are specific to utilizing digital mental health technologies to augment research and clinical practice, and how the integration of cutting-edge statistical analyses and research methodology may improve our understanding of people living with serious mental illness. He is also interested in improving interventions for youth at clinical high risk for psychosis. He enjoys hiking, skiing, and bicycling.
