Let’s Connect.

INDIVIDUALS

Are you experiencing symptoms such as feeling your mind is playing tricks on you? If so, please contact us for a free pre-screening to see if you’d qualify for a free, comprehensive evaluation.

FAMILIES

Is your child experiencing recent changes in behavior, thinking or mood? If so, please contact one of our clinicians today. We can work with you to determine next steps, whether that’s with us or elsewhere.

PROVIDERS

If you have a client or patient experiencing possible signs of risk for psychosis (or if you’re unsure), please contact us for a free consultation. We can help you better understand some of the signs you are noticing, and whether our studies are a good fit.

For eligibility criteria, see individual study pages (Youth Mental Health Screening, UPLIFT, InVEST, Brain Energy).

All participants must be in Massachusetts at the time of evaluation.

What is a pre-screening?

A pre-screening helps us determine whether you may benefit from a full evaluation. This consists of a brief phone call with one of our clinicians during which you will be asked questions about your mental health history and the symptoms you are currently experiencing. This will help to determine if getting an evaluation through one of our programs could be a good fit for you. If this is the case, you will be offered a date/time to begin the evaluation. Most of our evaluations are currently offered remotely, through Telehealth.

What is a comprehensive evaluation?

Our free, comprehensive research-based evaluations are in-depth interviews and assessments of mood, thinking, and behavior to determine if you may be experiencing clinical signs of risk for psychosis. Whether or not you are eligible for our studies, the assessments will provide diagnostic clarity that is often helpful to patients. Additionally, treatment recommendations are offered following the evaluation during a feedback session with a clinician.

What is a consultation call?

We take every opportunity to share information about our research (and our hopefulness!) about early intervention for psychosis. If you are a parent or provider concerned about a young person ages 12-30, please contact us today (responsetorisk@bidmc.harvard.edu / 617.209.9169) so we can speak with you about your concerns, answer your questions, and decide together whether or not our studies would be a good fit.
